We keep this simple: we collect as little as we can, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to delete anything you sent us.
Site analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and guides are useful, so we can improve them. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device type and how you found the site. It does not tell us who you are. You can opt out with Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on or your browser’s privacy settings. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Newsletter and event submissions
When you sign up for the newsletter or submit an event, we receive what you type into the form, such as your email address, your kids’ age ranges and event details. Forms are delivered to us by FormSubmit. We use this only to send the newsletter and to review your event. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Map and photos
Maps come from OpenStreetMap and photos are loaded from Unsplash, Wikimedia Commons and Google. Those services receive standard technical information, such as your IP address, when your browser loads them.
Children
This site is for parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
